Damn...I need some black 'Melvins'
OK so I love nike shoes...unfortunately...I am against major corporations in many respects, what they stand for, the way they take huge advantage of those who have no power to stand against them (NIKE = sweatshop anyone!?)...yet I still cannot get enough of Nikes...especially their SB stuff.
Call me sad, one of nike's mindless drones, a marketing dummy or whatever, but I recently found a great debate in regards to nike and their "borrowing" of the 1984 album cover of Dischord?s Minor Threat album;

It kinda reminded me about the stussy vs freshjive lawsuit/debate as well...although this nike case does not contain any picture of Shawn Stussy wearing the freshjive 'stussy' shirt! hahaha...

Anthony...
Well Anthony is heading back to France on a 'business' trip tomorrow...oh woe is me! My already pitiful life is going to get alot more pitiful...hahaha...I now know what it must have felt like for Anthony when all of us left during that end of term break...he was literally on his own!
So to mark his heading off into the sunset we went to play what else but pool. I kicked anthony's ass, peter kicked my ass then anthony kicked all our asses...a productive evening I would say!
Upon entering the pool place I spied out beauty personified...our L Bar bartender shiow anh or shiow mei as he now likes to be known as. He was there with some mates and we had a random chat. He told me he was leaving the L Bar (OH GOD FORBID!) but strictly said not to tell the staff there...can I really lie to 'family' who supplied me with a VIP card!? Sure!
The typhoon weather meant that I tried to leave a little earlier however as advised by the smirking mrt blokey the last train had already left...dang...I considered a taxi home but ended up walking as it stopped raining and the weather was very cool. On the way back I bumped into always smiling Japanese girl Yuka who has the most wicked surname...SAHARA...SERIOUSLY as in Sahara desert! hahaha...gotta love that surname! She had just been to a "good" seafood place with her boyfriend and friend...she was well quiffy man!
Well Anthony I hope all goes well in France, eat plenty of baugettes drink plenty of 'fine' wines, say hello to Mikael, Laurent and most importantly Flora for me, and....GO TO COLETTE AND GET ME NOT ANOTHER JAKE APE...comme des garcons x jake ape version, obviously! HA!

LOVE LOVE LOVE...
Thanks and much love to my new 'friends' who have started coming to my blog and leaving comments of encouragement, hope and have at times provided me with a laugh...
Though we all at times feel so alone confined as prisoners in our own minds, lost in the passing of daily routines, I see the world as a very small place and I very much believe in the idea of six degrees of seperation.
Thanks...Ben, Joseph, and everyone else, you know who you are!

SBTG and Methamphibian...my heroes...
Ok so I don't usually talk about my random obssessions here as frankly I am just too hip and cool to talk about them to anyone let alone to the whole blogging community...(someone deflate my head before I can't fit through the door of my room!)
...Jordanh dai Yowh!
Anyways these shoes by my favourite kick customisers are crazily hot...so hot I was gawping in silence with mouth wide open for about uhhmmmm 10-15 minutes thinking "need need need..." hahahaha...
So, if anyone is sitting on a couple of million quid please get them for me!
Get Bent...
Yes I am angry at all the automated messages that I am getting from people...the usual "hey great blog come and check out mine...or hey great blog, I am sure you and your friends will be interested in the latest arse cleaner..."
So unfortunately I have had to turn on that evil, freedom of speech censor machine that is the word reader thingymebob...
However in more 'exciting' news I was going round random blogs...as usual and found a very compelling and addictive clip on the blog...

Thank you for coing to Taipei Nana...be thankful you are having the concert in Chang Kai Shek Memorial Hall not in Xing Zhuang like Nora Jones!!!

Happy full moon festival!!!
Well its full moon festival weekend...the craziness started last night with a text from Anthony confirming ktv at Cashbox GREAT! I thought it was the cashbox really near my house so I headed there going to room 805 which we had booked. Upon entering there were three people there and I was like...
"uhmm..who are you?"who are you with?"
They of course responded "who are we!? Who the hell are you...!?""
sharp exit from me realising I had the wrong room and most importantly the wrong ktv! hahahaha...ops!
So I then headed to the correct ktv and when I entered the room it was huge! There were quite a few people in there I did not know but it was cool, everyone was friendly. There were about 16-18 of us and the room had two seating areas, one was the sofa area where they had two screens and a small stage with own seat and mini screen and also a an area which we dubbed "the bar" where own 'bar tender' Peter aka Usagi aka chug monkey aka PB was our host for the night. hahahaha...I will get back to the now ktv legend Peter in a minute. I finally met Blake Carter the guy who Anthony never stops talking about...this is a guy who has a MIT (Made in Taiwan) tattoo, Anthony's ex classmate the lovely Sylvia was there and of course I got to see Boon and Henry again. Henry's friend from H.K. called Ziggy was also there, a crazy, super nice dude.
Ayumi and Ikumi sang lots of Japanese songs and the rest of us just wailed other songs. Anthony did his usual 'amazing' songs by malaysian legend Michael...and peter and I did probably THE WORST rendition of gareth gates Unchained Melody. hahahhaa...
Now...back to Peter...so when I first entered the room this guy already had had i dunno how many beers but by the end of the night he was dancing around and drinking beer out of a jug like it was water. Needless to say he was a tab bit squiffy but somehow still managed to stay composed...obviously a pro!
By about 1am there were only five of us left; me, anthony, henry, ikumi and my man ziggy. I guess we are the real 'diehard' ktv fans...so Henry gets a call from his bird so we head to where else but inhouse for a round of drinks.
I finally got back home exhausted but a very happy man at around 4am...I also had a very 'deep' converstaion with the taxi driver who was telling me the best way to 'pull' women when one has a girlfriend...NICE!

Has it been that long...
Well this is quite a surprise...I cannot believe I have not posted in so long. I think the last 5-6 weeks have been out of control for me. I have not really felt like I am in a specific frame of mind or place...am I actually making sense!? HAHAHA... I guess what I am saying is I guess I've been cruising through life enjoying and seeing everyday for what it is.
I feel lately this has been brought to an abrupt halt, I sense it when I wake up every day, when I board the bus in the morning, during my time at school and before I sleep at night. The end of an era has come and many if not all my friends including my darling have left this humid city never to return. We all knew this day would come it was inevitable and well...just a part of life however nothing can really prepare you for it.
I have been looking at my future...where does it really lie? Do I return 'home' to the U.K. where my family are and do what my sister refers to as 'settling down' or do I follow my heart to Japan and stay in Asia?
Life tires me with all its complex questions...I feel torn apart I guess in that one has to have responsibilities in life, one has to settle down and find a path to a good and prosperous career...but when do people stop to listen to their heart and see life and time for what it really is? Some may say that this is too unrealistic, overly romantic or even naive however I have come to realise more and more that I want to fight for what I want and love, I refuse to be in a position in 10, 20 or 50 years time and say...
"you know what, I really regret not doing that"
Its simple but true, life is too short for regrets or the many simple squabbles we have over life and love.
We all have to be stronger in life and have faith in each other and our loved ones.
