Tired but happy...
So life goes on, man its moving so fast for me. Getting caught up in my own life and work and forgetting my family really troubles me. Forgive me please...I love you all and I hope you are well in your lives. You are always in my thoughts when I wake, every other second of the day and before I sleep at night.
Work has been busy as has life generally.
I have been hanging out alot with my chinese Da Ga and the lovely Eli-san lately, they have been so kind to me...thank you sooo much! Its good to have another chinese person here I can talk to, it makes me feel even more at home here and of course it helps that I can maintain my chinese level!
Three weeks ago on Sunday after work I headed out with Julz to Machida for drinks with an ex teacher called Andrew, super cool guy also from Aus. As we stood outside the place a lady came down with a beers for 200 yen sign...oh yeah! After drinking and eating there and listening to Julzs crazy story about the most random guy in the world called Bob in Hokkaido, we headed to Andrews fave place The Hub...remember that place!! Flash back to 2005 christmas time in Kyoto with Anthony...hahaha...yes they have one in Machida toooo! The place was cramped but friendly with many an ex pat there. Manly stories were shared and I got the last train back with Julz.
Last week we headed out for a welcome drinks for Danielle and Ben aka Paul (long story). They are both so cool, we are so lucky at our school that we have such great nice teachers. The group was me, Dickie, David W, Julz, Ben, Danielle, Lisa (danielles friend), Lisa (another staff girl), Ryoko, yukiko (forever nutty) and Mayumi (ex staff). After many a drink at La Pausa and a most random but funny talk with Lisa and Danielle about art, sneakers and clothing and also chinese with Mayumi and Yukiko, we headed home nice and happy.
Yesterday I headed out with Kayo and Julz to Odawara for drinks with people. So random...hahaha...we were met by the lovely Tomoko who took us to the Izakaya. Upon entering all eyes were on Julz and then me...of course they all thought I was Japanese, hahaha. it was cool though just bantering random english and japanese at people. Julz loved the attention...awwww...he of course played the dumb "i dont speak japanese guy" and then shocked everyone later with his level 2 prowess...MY HERO! After random conversations with Kaz, Takeshi X 2, Taki and Yoko we got kicked out and headed to another Izakaya. The next place was cool, sorta like an All Bar One feel...ahh back home in London! Much random bantering happened between me, Taki, Yoko and Takeshi. Takeshi advised me that he was in a rock band that may tour Taiwan in the summer, Yoko who works for Asashi said that she lives for Sapporro beer and could drink 10 every night, Taki who also lives for urahara told me all about his obssession with gangster films and me?? I was locked in an immortal battle for Kayos love with Julz the whole night! hahahaha...So after we headed home on the last train with some new friends. In out drunken stupor I remember we were speaking pretty loudly and of course got the looks from the locals of "friggin foreigners!" Julz at this point noted that we have only known each other for a year and had grown close...awwww...so much love! hahaha...Julz and Kayo left before me and after much kiss blowing I bade them and my new friends good bye...
...the end of the night for me? Nooo...I still had my new HF skateboard to test...
