Working nights...RESPECT!

Well its a funny business the world of work...'normal' people do their 9-5 type jobs and get home exhausted and ready for bed by a 'normal' hour (between 9-10pm) except for Anthony of course!

However how much attention is actually paid to those who do night shifts? How many of you out there have actually done one? All I can say is they really do screw with my mind too much...feeling completely weak and ready to collapse at random intervals throughout a 6am until 6pm shift, sweating constantly due to carrying between6-10kg heavy boxes on a super fast production line and now having cravings for pizza at 2am is not what I had hoped for from this job! Theres nothing more disturbing than seeing certain faces at the end of your shift at 6am and then realising that when you are back again at 6pm the same day they will be going home to their beds...CRAZY!

So for all you night workers out there who are constantly blazing their fags all night long and fuelling their tired bodies on cherry coke and coffee...

...RESPECT!

Queen..."I'll face it with a grin! I'm never giving in! On with the show!"

What is your favourite song in the whole world?

One of the questions on many peoples minds as they go through life is what is their favourite song of all time? Which song effects them most deeply, which song can stand the test of time and always remain in our hearts?

Out of all the music I listen to and (un)fortunatley I listen to just about everything; Britney, N'sync, DJ Shadow, Fort minor, Unkle...etc I have never been effected as deeply as when I listen to "Show must go on" by Queen.

How Freddie had the strength and passion to sing this song with only months before his death is a testament to how powerful this song is...I have to admit the song brings a tear to my eye everytime I hear it.

The feeling of the song seems to be mirthlessly laughing at the inevitable, we are all going to die sometime but all we can do it smile..."fighting the long defeat"...

Though I am sure everyones opinion on this is different I hope you to have listened to this song carefully or are going to in the near future. I hope you can hear the most powerful voice the music world has ever heard...it was all about passion!

Respect to Queen and F.M. Rest in Peace brother!

Show must go on. By Queen, Lyrics by Brian May

Empty spaces - what are we living for?
Abandoned places - I guess we know the score..
On and on!
Does anybody know what we are looking for?

Another hero - another mindless crime.
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime.
Hold the line!
Does anybody want to take it anymore?

The show must go on!
The show must go on!
Inside my heart is breaking,
My make-up may be flaking,
But my smile, still, stays on!

Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance.
Another heartache - another failed romance.
On and on!
Does anybody know what we are living for?
I guess i'm learning
I must be warmer now..
I'll soon be turning round the corner now.
Outside the dawn is breaking,
But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free!

The show must go on!
The show must go on! Yeah!
Ooh! Inside my heart is breaking!
My make-up may be flaking!
But my smile, still, stays on!
Yeah! oh oh oh

My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies,
Fairy tales of yesterday, will grow but never die,
I can fly, my friends!

The show must go on! Yeah!
The show must go on!
I'll face it with a grin!
I'm never giving in!
On with the show!

I'll top the bill!
I'll overkill!
I have to find the will to carry on!
On with the,
On with the show!

The show must go on.

Duncan's memorial football match...Half time saw us all go into the centre of the pitch to pay our respects.

Ready...legs as we used to call him in Rugby! He came down for the match all the way from Portsmouth...respect.

Ready, Wayne and Ben being clapped off after a hard match.

Nick, Simon and Mr Welsh look on...

It was a friendly meeting of old friends and acquantances...

Was this a goal...I can't remember!

Edd looking his usual slick self...

Michiyo at the football match...it was really cold!

Duncan...Beacon...everyone will miss you...

Duncan, Beacon... a friend...a fellow rugby player...a good guy...an ex-break dancer...a very intelligent guy...he passed away a couple of months ago. His death was a huge shock for me, it almost didn't seem real.

I have three specific memories of Duncan, the first was warming up with him before a school rugby match about 6-7 years ago. I was VERY nervous and I am sure he could tell, he told me to warm up with him (he was playing full back and I was playing wing)and he talked me through the game. He was a very determined individual who was well motivated, but above all in that second I could tell most importantly he was just another human who was willing to help another.

The next memory of Duncan that I have is of us dancing together during an end of term line dancing thing organised down lower school. Me, Duncan and another guy (maybe Tom Ball) were the only blokes in our half of the year with the guts to do it...this showed me that Duncan did not care about anyone else's opinion and that he was gonna do anything that he wanted no matter what!

My final clear memory was of Duncan break dancing in the middle of a Tesco's car park whilst we drove passed him...the fact that he did this in the middle of the night before heading down the pub for a drink shows the kind of person he was!

For me Duncan's passing shows how easy life can be taken away from us.

A footie match in his honor was being organised on the Mundays by his parents. I knew this was something that I could not miss...a chance to see old friends I have not seen in a long time, a time to honor Duncan.

Arriving there with Michiyo I saw Edd and Bobby, Bobby I had not seen in probably 6 years. On the pitch were some of my old teachers and rugby friends...

Laughs were had on and off the pitch...Mr welsh when he was clear through on goal and he slipped when trying to take a shot...Granny running out half way into the pitch and tackling someone (he was in goal!)...Mrs Mullholland running onto the pitch and taking a penalty of her own, obviously she scored!

At half time Mrs Mulholland made a brave and heartfelt speech honouring the life of her son and she then went onto spreading some of his ashes on the pitch.

Unfortunatley I do not have a picture of Duncan...but he will always be in my mind though. Rest in peace my friend...

My darling is here...

So Michiyo came to the U.K. for two weeks, we spent most of the time in London but we also stayed at home in the lovely countryside for a bit.

On the Friday I took Michiyo to meet my friends which was cool. We headed to Browns...where else and had some drinks. Then we heade down the hill and went to two bars along the water side...e-shed and another one...

The time in London was nice, although a little cold, this is not a good time to visit england...then again it never is! Much of the time was spent sight seeing and shopping (what else) and it was cool being a tourist again even though this is my country.

We went around Westminister which now has many a huge gun toting policeman around, visited the national gallery and Trafalgar square, we went to st pauls catherdral, China Town, Oxford/Regent street, Piccadily...too many places!
