Goodbye Flora and Alby~~~

Well the scene was set one of my closest male friends Alby was leaving to go back to the states...why I'll never know...COME BACK PLEASE~~ For the sake of me and Carissa!! I remember all the times we spent together...our first day in class, I started off the conversation in the place by speaking to him...as everyone else looked well scary! All the crazily long hours I spent telling him not to scratch his skin or bite his nails...it was all love bruv, all love! The time the three of us (me, alby and Anthony) spent at the L bar together...ahhh memories...Alby is my favourite U.S. bloke he is kind and considerate...and decent you know? There are few 'decent'' people left in this world...

Flora, the ONLY TAIWANESE darling of my heart was too leaving for the U.K. to further her studies. I remember the first time I met Flora...actually I don't! hahaha...i think it may have been at Eden...no wait...it was at school. I remember she was very polite and very beautiful and had a presence about her which was very un-Taiwanese. She is a good person with a good soul, it may sound over the top to say that but it is true, I do not give such compliments lightly!

SO...the final meeting point was first at an Indian restraunt which is hands down the best in Taipei...although the waitress...man i thought Carissa was gonna go outside and kill her! That woman had such an attitude, but Carissa kept her composure...don't know how though! GO CARISSA!

Anthony (The French Don himself) joined us after dinner and we headed to MOD for a drink. Carissa went home as she had to work the next morning, so the crowd was Ant, me, Alby, Michiyo, Flora and Peter aka Chug Monkey. At this point I have to mention that I was wearing a tie as Anthony was wearing one...I had to keep you compnay bruv...!!! We all had a couple drinks, had a laugh then it was time to head off into the sunset.

Who knows if and when we will ever see each other again...though we may do one day in the future, the time, the feeling that we all shared here will never be the same again. I just hope that you both will take care of yourselves and I wish you both luck in the future and most importantly in LOVE!

Taipei Toy Convention...oh yeah baby!

So there we were Anthony and I at the Taipei Toy convention on 11th August in the Living Mall. They had exhibitors which ranged from Medicom Toy and Jason Siu and Co to local Taipei toy shops like Hot Dog Toys and my favourite Good Choice.

Two weeks before the event I had heard about it on the internet...but never did I think we would actually make it there...

We were lucky as we went on the opening day when the crowds weren?t as big meaning more breathing space to gawp at the toys and photograph them from every possible angle! I especially enjoyed seeing the King Ken and the Amos Magical Plastic Band figures by British artist James Jarvis in a place like Taipei. Kinda makes me miss home...and rather patriotic strangely!
Hong Kong artist Jason Siu and Co was well cool with these serious kick ass speaker/toy that I am sure Felix would make Felix dribble! HAHAHAHA!
Hong Kong based trio Brotherhood was ok however they had their limited to 500 pair Levis x Brothersfree x Seven jeans which once again had me falling to my knees hoping that money would fall from the sky so I could buy them! HAHAHAHA...ahhh consumerism at its best...

Anthony however...lets say he spent a rather lot of money...hahaha...I found the Frtenchman stood by a stall with a rather pained expression on his face. I say pained because it was one of a man in love but the love = spending rather alot of the green stuff. After a rapid decision with me saying "go bruv, go!" Anthony unleashed his inner obssession and went for it...bruv...I like your style...just buy first think of the consequences later! He was I am sure shaking inside however it was worth it bruv...it was worth it! I have to come round your place and check those babies out sometime...if you ever let them out of their boxes that is!

So anyways I was at the stall of Hotdog Toys purchasing my bape catalogue when the friendly manager of Good Choice pops up next to me for a random chat...well random man...cool guy though. He advised me about my 'special' disount that I now have...oh yeah baby! Anthony there are new CI BOYS there~~~ you can get a discount~~~ hahaha...

Well after a mass shopping spree by anthony we headed to club/bar Plush located also in the shopping mall. It was crazy we were the only ones in the huge place...well I guess it was only 4.30pm!

Anyways...I hope to go again sometime...
