Nothing lasts forever right????.....its time to go home...
Well people my final hurdle is coming up, next week marks my last week of classes at school. I have severe mixed feelings about it, so much has happened to me during my time in Taiwan, its really crazy man. Looking back I do not think there has ever been a day when I thought...'I am really bored' or 'I have nothing to do today.' There has always been something to do, somewhere to go or someone to hang out with. Of course this has certainly taken its toll on my body as I am now constantly tired, but what can I say...gotta live right!?
I guess its the small things I will miss about Taiwan. The steaks at Sih Ling night market, lunch at Jamaica cafe (?) hahahhaa ahhh Jamaica... I cannot believe i once spent nearly six hours in that place. I guess it is easy to get comfortable in Taipei as everything is so convenient.
It seems I have been going to KTV alot more recently as of late. This is prob due to Henry, fellow BBC mate and Ant's friend from Chien Tan. That guy is super cool and is definitely the DON of ktv. His 'friend' is the most amazing singer and very kindly does the Jun and Yuki song "CAN'T WAIT" with me, you all know that one right!?...well prob only anthony, Lucy and jason know what i am talking about!
JUN for those of you who dont know is a serious legend of a beast from Korea...I mean with rap lines like....
..."My heart is always with you even though we're apart baby.
I know you're sad and blue but that can't take us apart.
Get away from the dark baby come and see the light.
Yuki,in my dream I could with in my Mitsubishi.
But times going, going are gone it's gone
like the wind that can't stop, but stop not at the bus stop,
you and my drop top.
Yeah put time in lock. That's right.
You and me baby messing around in the parking lot."
What a legend, the man must have bare women after him! Seen Seen...
*AHEM*
Thurday night consisted of going to Maccy d's with Albert (mate we gotta stop eating crap together!) then heading to the L bar for a drink. the always lovely Kaori joined us as did Bruce, Alberts friend who was once called Victor or Ching...uhm!? I first met Bruce in Sih Ling where he also had another friend called Bruce with him....thats a whole nother story altogether! Anthony the big bruv himself joined us a little later on after his french class and had his usual corona.
I hung out with Anthony on Friday night and we headed to Grandma Nitti's a really cool restraunt around sih dah. The food there is really great and i like the cats who hang out there. When i refer to cats i dont mean 'cats' in the sense of cool people I mean ACTUAL cats...sorry just thought i would clarrify that point! After eating a very nice patty burger that tasted surprisingly un-Taiwanese we headed to the East side of Taipei where anthony showed his random skills by pulling out one of the best cafe/restraunts in Taipei, a place called G store. It was a combination of Japanese restraunt and hairdressers...completely random! There was this bar staff guy/ hairdresser who had this amazing afro hair....cool man! And the toilets there...it was almost a Kill Bill type setting. You literally had to walk through this tiny Japanese garden type thing to get to the bathrooms....hahahahha. RANDOM!
Saturday saw a gathering at Anthony's friends bar/restraunt called Canteen. Nice food and surroundings by the way. The group consisted of Me, Antoinette, Alby, Carrissa, Kaori, Michiyo, Michael (ant's JOH JOH - long story) and Judy (michael's friend). I have to admit the randomness did not really start until party people Carrissa and Alby turned up...hahahhaa. From there the two of them coxed us into going to Hassan's birthday party at Eden...you know what? I really do not like that place at all. HMMMMMM....
